Bahamas’ Atlantis Resort Launches Free Testing Program

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - January 23, 2021

The Bahamas’ Atlantis Paradise Island resort has launched a complimentary testing program for guests returning to the United States, the property said.

The resort, which officially reopened in December, will be providing onsite, complimentary rapid antigen testing for up to two guests per reservation.

The move aims to help travelers comply with the new CDC mandate, which requires all travelers returning to the U.S. to show proof of a negative test result taken and received within 72 hours before travel.

Results will be ready within 30 minutes, with documentation provided for guests to present at the airport.

The test will be performed by “experienced clinical technicians and registered nurses,” according to Atlantis.

For countries that require PCR tests for re-entry, the hotel will also be providing those tests for a $165 fee.

Additional rapid tests are also available for a $20 fee.
