Riviera Maya’s Belmond Maroma Resort to Reopen in September

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - August 11, 2020 - 3:39 pm

One of the leading luxury resorts in the Mexican Caribbean is slated to reopen in September, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Belmond Maroma Resort and Spa, one of just three Belmond properties in the Caribbean (along with St Martin and Anguilla), is reopening on Sept. 15.

“We’re delighted to announce we will be reopening our doors on Sept. 15, the property said in a statement. “The safety of our guests is our utmost priority.”

On that front, Belmond has launched a new health and safety program called “Trusted for Travel,” a series of protocols for enhanced hygiene and social-distancing measures.

“At the same time, whilst adhering to the new guidelines on cleanliness and social-distancing, we pledge that our guests will once again feel welcomed into warm and comfortable environments, able to enjoy extraordinary travel and award-winning dining at its finest. We will continue to rise to the challenge of fulfilling our guests’ needs, especially in this regard,” said Roeland Vos, President & CEO of Belmond.
