Another Big Renovation Underway at Atlantis

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - March 12, 2020

Atlantis Paradise Island is in the midst of another major renovation project, this time to the property’s signature hotel, The Royal.

The upgrades to the property initially include The Royal’s East Tower, which will be completed by the end of this year.

Enhancements to The Royal’s West Tower will conclude next year, according to a spokesperson for what remains the signature Bahamas resort.

The changes include a “new and colorful look” for guest rooms and suites at each tower, along with a makeover for hallways and the lobby.

The idea is for a look “reminiscent of a vibrant Bahamian destination,” according to Atlantis.

Atlantis is also adding a new “Imperial Club” lounge to The Royal as part of the renovations.

The projects come as Atlantis embarked on a property-wide renovation in recent years, one that saw improvements to The Coral, The Beach, The Reef and The Cove, along with the introduction of five new eateries led by Jose Andres’ Fish by Jose Andres.
