Melia Opens a Major New All-Inclusive in Cuba

Cuba has a major new all-inclusive resort on the beach-filled island of Cayo Santa Maria.

Melia Hotels International has opened its new Paradisus Los Cayos, the fourth Paradisus-branded hotel in the country.

The new-build property has a total of 802 suites and junior suites, along with 34 swimming pools (including a host of swim-up suites), 12 restaurants and 14 bars.

The Paradisus Los Cayos also has two exclusive areas: The Reserve and Royal Service.

The Reserve is aimed at solo travelers or families, “designed for the most exacting tastes,” according to the company.

The Royal Service wing is for adults only, with exclusive acccess to certain bars and swimming pools and butler service.

Melia is also positioning the property as a hub for meetings, with a large ballroom with a capacity for 910 people.

Melia is the largest hotel company in Cuba.
