Virgin Gorda’s Taddy Bay airport has officially reopened for air service.

The airport had been closed since April for a safety compliance-related construction project.

News of the airport’s relaunch was confirmed by British Virgin Islands Director of Tourism Sharon Flax-Brutus.

“This is great news for Virgin Gorda,” Flax-Brutus said.

Virgin Gorda has been making its own comeback from last year’s storms, as smaller hotels like Fischer’s Cove Beach Hotel have reopened, while larger developments like the Oil Nut Bay resort community is planning a December relaunch.
