Carnival Cruise Line’s newest Vista-class ship, Carnival Horizon, is coming to St Maarten this fall.
The 4,000-passenger ship will make its inaugural call on St Maarten in October for the 2018-2019 high cruise season.
The new ship’s amenities will include everything from the first-ever Dr Seuss water park to a Guy Fieri brewhouse and an IMAX theater.
The ship will spend the summer in New York for a schedule of four-day Bermuda and eight-day Caribbean cruises before launching six and eight-day voyages to the Caribbean from Miami in September.
“The country is on the rebound where cruise tourism is concerned,” Port St Maarten Management said in a statement. “We are looking forward to welcoming additional new cruise vessels for the upcoming 2018-2019 season.”
