Princess Cruises is getting into the social impact sphere.

Princess is adding a series of new “Travel Deep” sailings featuring immersive experiences, donation drops, community care and a focus on “making a tangible difference” in the lives of locals in ports of call.

The new additions come after Crown Princess held an inaugural sailing with 150 guests January onboard the Crown Princess ship.

The offerings operate in partnership with parent company Carnival Corporation’s “Fathom” social impact cruising brand.

“These additional Travel Deep group sailings allow us to offer our Princess Cruises guests more opportunities to make an impact within the communities in need while adding meaning and a deeper connection during their travels,” said Tara Russell, Fathom president and Carnival Corporation global impact lead. “These purpose-driven groups allow travelers to get closer to the places we visit with a chance to come alongside local communities and have more authentic, immersive experiences with locals.”

The Travel Deep options will be on six Princess sailings to the Caribbean this year, on March 18, May 26, June 30, July 28, Aug. 18 and November 17.

All “Travel Deep” sailings include small group leaders and guides, unique onboard events and on-shore opportunities.
