The new Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas resort has made its debut in Los Cabos.

The all-suite property is the first phase of the 834-acre private resort community in Mexico.

Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas features 89 oceanfront suites across two buildings, with units ranging from a grand studio to a two-bedroom presidential suite.

“At Solmar Hotels & Resorts, we continuously strive to elevate the experience for our guests and residents. Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas Resort certainly does that and more, presenting an all-encompassing experience of resort, residential and golf in the most envied location of all Baja California Sur.” said Ricardo Orozco, Solmar Hotels & Resorts vice president of operations.

The property was designed by Dallas-based architecture firm HKS, which sought to bring the “coastal Baja Mexico feel” to the resort, with traditional touches like barrel tile roofs and an emphasis on water, including a lazy river and a salt water lagoon.

Grand Solmar includes a signature restaurant, La Roca, joined by the Las Olas Poolside Bar and the casual Deli Cafe and Brisas Grill Bar.

“Great design is as much about personal relationships as it is about creating unique and unforgettable experiences that reflect the authenticity of the destination, “said Sergio Saenz, HKS Hospitality Studio Director. “Ensuring that the architectural design paid respect to the surroundings – from the wind-swept dunes, Pacific shoreline and 100-year-old arroyos – was key in creating this world class destination focused around the discerning expectations of the Solmar Hotels & Resorts guest.”

Rancho San Lucas will soon feature a Greg Norman-designed golf course, slated for completion in the winter of 2018-2019.
