One of Broadway’s most successful musicals has come to the Mexican Caribbean.

Apple Leisure Group subsidiary AMResorts has announced plans to debut Rock of Ages at the Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa Resort.

The full theatrical production will be performed exclusively at the resort six times per week now through Jan. 15, 2018, open to resort guests and other visitors staying in the Mexican Caribbean.

“We are always looking to take our guests’ vacation experiences to the next level, so we are honored to be the first resort company to host this live show from Broadway in the popular destination of Cancun,” said Gonzalo del Peon, President of AMResorts. “‘Rock of Ages’ is a highly-regarded and favored show that will undoubtedly add value to the on-property experience and enhanced entertainment offerings at one of our newest properties, Dreams Playa Mujeres.”

Produced by Gerardo Quiroz, the musical is the story of a small-town girl and a city boy as they meet in the Sunset Strip, with a soundtrack featuring hits by artists including Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Bon Jovi and others.

The musical will be performed at Dreams Playa Mujeres’ fully air-conditioned Limelight Theater, which can accommodate up to 400 guests.
