One of St Barth’s most beloved resorts is planning to reopen soon.

Les Ilets de la Plage, the villa resort in the area of St Jean, has announced that its reopening has been planned for Nov. 18, 2017.

The resort like most on the island suffered damage as a result of Hurricane Irma.

“After 3 tumultuous weeks and a huge amount of work, we can see light at the end of the tunnel,” the resort said in a note to guests. “already. We cannot thank the team enough for all their hard and often back breaking work, and the army of helpers, we are so grateful! The task was and still is huge but things are progressing at such a speed we are confident we can make our new deadline.”

The island has been recovering from the hurricane, although most of the island’s resorts have announced plans to reopen in the summer of 2018.

Les Ilets said it would be working its way through reservations for those who had already booked their trips.

Last year, Caribbean Journal featured the property as the island’s hidden gem. See the video below for more info.
