A Caribbean Christmas Cruise

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - October 16, 2016

Thinking of a new way to spend Christmas in the Caribbean? Why not try a cruise?

Enter Azamara, which is offering a special eight-night Caribbean Christmas Cruise out of PortMiami.

Azamara offers a very different kind of Caribbean cruise experience, with a focus on boutique service in its 690-guest ships. The company also offers what it calls Destination Immersion, which gives guests more time in port and a better chance to get to know a given place, rather than a quick multiple-hour stop.

And the small size means you can often hit ports larger ships simply can’t access, like Nevis and Virgin Gorda.

Indeed, this year’s sailing takes you to some of the Caribbean’s loveliest ports, with stops in large ports like St. Thomas and smaller gems like St. John, US Virgin Islands and the lovely town of Gustavia, St. Barth.

The Caribbean Christmas Cruise, which sails Dec. 19 to Dec. 27, makes its first stop in Charlotte Amalie (where it spends two nights), then to St. Thomas, followed by St. John, Virgin Gorda; Charlestown, Nevis, St. Barth before debarking in San Juan.

Amenities included on the trip include select standard spirits, international beers and wines, bottled water, soft drinks, specialty coffees and teas, shuttle service to and from port communities and concierge service, among others.

Suite guests receive English butler service, 235 complimentary internet minutes, complimentary dining in specialty restaurants and even afternoon tea service en-suite.

This year’s sailing is on the Azamara Quest ship.
