VIDEO: A Classic Beach Bar in St. Martin

Pedro's Beach Bar

“One case of coke, one case of sprite, and one case of Heineken,” Pedro recalls. And a little umbrella.

It was 1976, and this was how one of the Caribbean’s most iconic beach bars began, when Orient Bay was just an empty stretch of white sand.

Today, Pedro’s Beach Bar is one of the most popular stops in St. Martin, the kind of transcendent beach bar that draws everyone: locals, tourists, cruise visitors and rum seekers.

And today the legend continues at the oldest beach in St Martin, set at the far end of Orient Bay just next to the world-famous Club Orient.

Pedro still runs the show, 40 years later.
