A major new hotel is coming to Jamaica’s Montego Bay.

The Spanish Court hotel brand in Kingston is expanding to Jamaica’s tourism hub with the new Spanish Court Hotel, Montego Bay.

The property is the result of a redevelopment of the long-closed Breezes hotel.

The beachfront hotel will feature 120 rooms on the famous Doctors Cave Beach on Montego Bay’s “Hip Strip.”

Rooms will feature plush beds, Roman tubs and “sauna showers,” the property said, part of a “spa” bathroom concept.

The hotel could be a big addition to an area of greater Montego Bay that has not seen major hotel development in recent years.

It’s a departure for the brand, whose popular Kingston outpost has traditionally served mostly business travelers.

The hotel is slated to debut in 2017.
