New Overwater Bungalows Coming to the Caribbean

There’s a new way to stay in an overwater bungalow in the Caribbean.

The El Dorado Maroma resort is planning to debut new overwater bungalow suites at its Riviera Maya property in September.

The new Palafitos over-the-water suites, located on Maroma Beach on Mexico’s Caribbean coast, will open Sept. 1, according to the hotel’s Web site.

Each suite will include a glass-bottom floor, a private infinity pool, direct ladder access to the ocean, an indoor Jacuzzi and an “Aguas del Amor” outdoor shower.

The suites will be the first true overwater bungalows in the Mexican Caribbean.

The suites will also include 24-hour room service and a butler, among other amenities.

The resort will additionally debut an overwater spa called Náay Spa and an overwater bar and grill.
