This Is Your Next Caribbean Overwater Bungalow Resort

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - April 2, 2016 - 1:17 pm

It isn’t just a Caribbean fantasy — it’s green, too.

This is Azul Paradise, the next overwater bungalow hotel on your Caribbean bucket list.

Set in the Bocas del Toro archipelago on Panama’s Caribbean coast, each of the hotel’s bungalows has its own outdoor shower, an outdoor salon with sofa, a sunken lounge over the water and a ladder to go right into the sea.

And when you feel like some sand, there is an expansive white-sand beach on the island.

And the best part? It’s an eco-friendly hotel.

The hotel uses solar energy for power, purified catchment for water, all with one focus: interaction with the natural environment.

The hotel bills itself as a “complete off-the-grid experience,” meaning at times you may have to conserve water or energy — but that’s all part of the charm.
