Bonaire will soon be getting its first major branded hotel.

Courtyard Marriott is continuing its expansion in the Caribbean, with a new hotel set to open on the Dutch Caribbean island in October of this year.

The hotel will include 140 rooms and will be located right by the Plaza Resort by the island’s international airport.

Marriott has been embarking on a significant broadening of its network in the region, with new hotels opened in islands like Jamaica and more planned in islands like Curacao.

The entry of Marriott could be a boon to Bonaire, which has until this point lacked a major branded hotel.
