A New Hire at Playa Hotels

Playa Hotels and Resorts has announced a new hire.

The company has named Hugh Goodwin its new director of tour operator sales.

Goodwin will be responsible for “establishing new relationships with tour operators and continuing to build upon Playa’s strong existing relationships through the development and execution of promotional and marketing strategies.”

“We welcome Hugh to the Playa Hotels & Resorts family and are excited to see this sector grow under his supervision,” said Kevin Froemming, EVP & Chief Marketing Officer at Playa Hotels & Resorts. “His expertise and relationships with tour operators and travel agencies make him the ideal candidate to lead our ever-important Tour Operator Sales department.”

Playa’s portfolio includes 14 hotels comprising 6,175 rooms in the wide region.

Playa Resorts Management, which the company created in 2013, manages the Ziva and Zilara hotels for Hyatt.
