Winair Cleared for More Caribbean Expansion

By: - March 21st, 2016

Winair could soon have a new hub in the Caribbean.

The regional airline has been officially granted “airline” designation by St Kitts and Nevis Aviation Minister Mark Brantley.

That means the carrier is now allowed to originate and terminate flights from St Kitts and Nevis to a third country in the region, according to MD Cleaver, president and CEO of Winair.

The company said it was “currently studying various marketing and service options from St. Kitts and Nevis that this designation affords us.”

The St Maarten-based airline said it “takes this privilege seriously.”

“We look forward to assume a leadership role in enhancing and further [developing] regional aviation.”
