St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Timothy Harris is leading a delegation to Dubai to attend the Second Annual Investment Immigration Summit this week.

During their time in Dubai, Harris and his government colleagues will be promoting the St Kitts and Nevis Citizenship-by-Investment Program.

Representatives from several other Caribbean countries with CBI programs will also be in attendance, including those from Dominica, Grenada and Antigua.

“Exciting new programs such as that which are being introduced for Saint Lucia will be explored along with some of the more established programs being offered in Dominica, St Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, the U.S., Canada and the U.K.,” said Conference Director Carly Greene.

St. Kitts and Nevis’ government has been reforming its CBI program since assuming office last year.

These reforms include the movement toward a more client-focused team by adding professional staff and making organizational changes; the introduction of a new citizen case management system that will allow for faster processing of applications; and the commissioning of a Technical Committee, which will institute a more formal and documented process over the denial of application.

Prime Minister Harris said that he is confident that these changes will assist in launching the program into a progressive and prosperous future.

Other countries represented at the summit will include Brazil, Panama, Portugal, Spain, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
