Zemi Beach House Comes to Anguilla

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - February 20, 2016

The Caribbean’s newest beachfront hotel is now open in Anguilla.

The Zemi Beach House, located on Shoal Bay beach, opened earlier this month.

“Just days after opening, we’re happy to announce that we’re almost sold out for the month of March, which is a true testament to the potential of the East End of Anguilla.” said Jeffrey Goldstein, partner at the Goldstein Family Partnership, which developed the resort. “We’ve received nothing but positive feedback from our first guests and look forward to showcasing best-in-class Anguillan hospitality all year long.”

The boutique hotel opened with 70 keys, and is slated to expand to 129 keys by the end of 2016.

The latter will be comprised of 54 hotel rooms and 50 luxury residences that can be placed into a rental program managed by Trust Hospitality.

The hotel is the first resort to open on Anguilla’s East End, and Anguilla’s first new-build hotel in six years.

Accommodations start at $699 per night, according to the hotel, with amenities including a loudspeaker with bluetooth, a Caribbean minibar, Wi-Fi, cable, a motion sensor AC system and Malin+Goetz toiletries.

The property also has five food and beverage “concepts,” including Stone, 20 Knots, the Shoal Bay Beach Club, the Rhum Room and Provisions.

The hotel also has a spa, Zemi Thai House Spa, set inside an authentic Thai house that was transported from Thailand to Anguilla back in the 1980s.

This week, the hotel also announced the appointment of Nathan Rader as its new executive chef.

“Guests love our exclusive beachfront location, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere with toes-in-the-sand dining and watching the beautiful colors of Shoal Bay Beach,” said Markus Laahanen, general manager of Zemi Beach House.”
