JetBlue Is Adding a New Route to Puerto Rico

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - December 21, 2015

JetBlue is continuing its Caribbean growth with an expansion in Puerto Rico.

The carrier is adding a new route between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Rafael Hernandez Airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

JetBlue already serves the destination from New York and Orlando.

The flights will operate daily.

“We know that our many customers in South Florida and Puerto Rico expect nothing but the best air travel, which is why they love the award-winning service we proudly offer at JetBlue,” said Dave Clark, vice president network planning, JetBlue. “In the spirit of continuing our growth in these two important markets, we are excited to offer this newest route to Aguadilla which will give customers more space, comfort and entertainment options than any airline in the region.”

The Fort Lauderdale-Aguadilla flights will operate beginning May 5 on JetBlue’s Embraer 190 aircraft.

JetBlue has been steadily expanding its Caribbean network out of Fort Lauderdale, most recently announcing the addition of flights to Barbados.
