WestJet saw a slight rise in traffic in October, according to the company’s latest report.

The Canadian carrier reported 1.58 billion revenue passenger miles, a 0.3 percent increase over October 2014.

Despite the slight rise, it represented the carrier’s October traffic record.

“We are pleased to report record traffic for the month of October,” said WestJet President and CEO Gregg Saretsky. “I want to thank all of our 11,000 WestJetters for their continued dedication and hard work as we transition from our shoulder period into our busy winter season.”

The carrier also reported a load factor of 77.1 percent, a slight decline from its 77.4 percent number in the same period in 2014.

WestJet flies a number of routes to the Caribbean.
