That’s because the Caribbean product we tried this week is rather unique.
And it’s also the best vodka made in the Caribbean.
Gun Bay Vodka is the brainchild of Cayman Spirits Co., the group behind Seven Fathoms Rum, famous for its underwater barrel aging.
So what makes Gun Bay unique? It’s one of just a small handful of vodkas on earth made out of sugarcane, distilled on a custom-built 28-plate vodka column still.
Distilled on site just outside George Town in the Cayman Islands, it’s a strikingly smooth vodka, with the added bonus of a sweet finish influenced by its cane origins.
Named after Gun Bay on the East End of Grand Cayman, it makes for a must-buy item on any visit to the island.
