JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to open the JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa in Fall 2015.

The 299-room luxury beachfront resort was designed by architect Jim Olson and Mexico City-based firm IDEA Asociados

“A rich destination with a deep cultural narrative, our newest resort property will provide guests with first-hand luxury experiences and unexpected discoveries in a captivating part of the world,” said Mitzi Gaskins, Vice President, Luxury Brand Management & Guest Experience at Marriott International.

The new resort is set among the dunes of Baja California Sur, Mexico.

“JW Marriott Los Cabos Beach Resort & Spa was designed to complement the beauty of the surrounding environment, blending natural elements with modern details to bring local tradition and culture to life in an unparalleled way,” said General Manager Mike van der Kroft.

The resort will feature seven restaurants, with options ranging from local dishes to French-inspired cuisine; a 21,000 square foot world-class spa and fitness center; beach club; banquet and meeting facilities; and retail shops.

Guests will also enjoy access to Puerto Los Cabos’ private marina and golf courses designed by Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman.

All guest rooms will feature unobstructed ocean views, but guests looking for an even more personalized and private experience have the option to enjoy the ultra-luxury 45-room boutique hotel within the resort, the Griffin Club.

The Griffin Club will offer exclusive amenities including a movie theater, private beach and pool, reserved spa areas, the Mayma Lounge Bar with a fireplace, and a private business center.
