The SLS LUX Baha Mar hotel has announced the appointment of Xavier Moulin as General Manager and Julian Cable-Treadwell as Director of Sales & Marketing.

The $3.5 billion Baha Mar resort and casino complex in Nassau, which is slated to open in Fall 2015, is the first international venture for SLS LUX parent company sbe.

Moulin joins the SLS LUX with a 19-year background in the hotel management business, including a three-year period as general manager at sbe’s flagship property, the SLS Hotel Beverly Hills.

“Having been a part of the SLS brand and having witnessed its tremendous growth and success, I’m eager to continue my career with the brand managing the first international SLS property,” Moulin said. “The hotel business is my biggest passion and I’m looking forward to redefining luxury in The Bahamas.”

Cable-Treadwell’s background includes sales and marketing experience at hotels in Mexico, the Caribbean, Ireland, and Australia.

“I love a new challenge and being a part of something groundbreaking, and Baha Mar is most certainly that,” Cable-Treadwell said. “Add to that joining a lifestyle brand like SLS and launching the hotel’s sales and marketing strategy is a role that I’m more than exciting to be taking on.”

SLS LUX at Baha Mar will be one of five luxurious properties at the new Baha Mar resort and casino complex in Nassau, and is comprised of 300 Bahamian-inspired rooms.

The resort will feature experiences such as The Sanctuary, which will connect guests with wildlife in and out of the water; ESPA, a 30,000 square-foot luxury spa; shopping options from local crafts to renowned designers; and many other amenities.
