Rihanna Visits Cuba

One of the Caribbean’s biggest stars has become the latest celebrity to visit Cuba.

The native of Barbados visited the island at the end of last week on what was reportedly a surprise visit.

Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, engaged in a photo and video shoot on the island, along with a series of stops for food and drink.

It’s likely that the shoot was for the singer’s newest music video.

While most of Rihanna’s success has come outside of the Caribbean, she has remained deeply connected to the region.

She most recently served as the face of Barbados tourism, following a three-year contract signed with the then-Barbados Tourism Authority in 2011.
