American Airlines Names Two New Vice Presidents

American Airlines has named a pair of new vice presidents, the carrier announced this week.

Captain Kimball Stone has been named vice president, flight, while Lorne Cass has been appointed vice president, integrated operations control.

Stone was most recently with the US Army with assignments to the US Special Operations Command, among other stops.

Cass comes to the company after stints at Western Airlines, Northwest Airlines and Delta Airlines, among others.

“Kimball and Lorne bring unique perspectives, experiences and skills to these critical areas,” said Robert Isom, American Airlines’ Chief Operating Officer. “They are well respected by their colleagues and across the industry and we are fortunate to have them on our team as we continue on our integration path to become the greatest airline in the world.”

Both Stone and Cass will report directly to Tim Campbell, senior vice president for air operations at American.
