IHG has a new hotel in the Caribbean.

InterContinental Hotels Group announced the opening of its new Holiday Inn Express Cartagena Bocagrande hotel in Colombia’s Caribbean coastal city.

The new-build, 200-room hotel is the company’s second property in Cartagena, joining the Holiday Inn Cartagena Morros.

IHG is also planning debut the InterContinental Cartagena de Indias later this year.

“We are very pleased to introduce the Holiday Inn Express brand to Cartagena in conjunction with Grupo Contempo,” said Gerard Murray, regional vice president for distribution and commerical marketing at IHG. “Cartagena is now the fastest growing city in Colombia and is currently experiencing an influx of tourism.”

The 14-floor hotel includes two outdoor swimming pools, a 24-hour fitness centre, Wi-Fi and a business centre.
