Copa Airlines has launched new flights between Panama and Santa Clara, Cuba, the carrier announced.

Santa Clara is the carrier’s second location in Cuba.

“People who love nature, idyllic beaches and exotic locales will want to vacation in this fantastic destination, which offers a diverse tourism experience,” said Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa. “On one hand, they’ll have the city of Santa Clara, full of history and Cuban tradition, and on the other, just one hour away, Cayo Santa María, with its great variety of all-inclusive hotels and eight 5-star hotels.”

The service, which launched earlier this month, operates on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

The flights depart Panama at 9:05 AM and arrive at Santa Clara’s Abel Santa Maria Airport around 11:30 AM.

The return flights depart Cuba at 12:20 PM, arriving at Panama’s Tocumen International Airport at around 2:42 PM.
