Property and development consultants BCQS International is expanding its reach into Panama.

The firm announced Tuesday that it would be joining forces with Edward McGrath & Associates in Panama.

The companies are embarking on a corporate association to do business together “primarily in Panama and in Central America,” BCQS said in a statement.

The core business focus of the association is in the areas of project management, construction management, cost management and quantity surveying.

“The Association gives us the muscle to compete for larger projects and also gives us increased diversification in the services we are now able to offer clients,” Edward McGrath said. “Over the next several months we will strategize with BCQS and promote our new alliance so as to fully inform our mutual clientele of the opportunities that will arise because of our new Association.”

In a statement, BCQS Managing Director Liam Day said the move formed “a strategic part of BCQS’s plans to expand further into the Latin American market.”

“We feel going forward with our combined property, construction and development advice, we are in a unique position to offer professional support to our clients in this part of the world, that will be second to none,” he said.
