The Hotel El Convento in San Juan, Puerto Rico has named Alfredo Arroyo its new general manager, the property announced Monday.

Arroyo will succeed Efrain Rosa, who will be advancing to his new role as the hotel manager of the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel, also in San Juan.

Arroyo was most recently the food and beverage director at La Concha Resort in Puerto Rico.

Parent company International Hospitality Enterprises also announced that Jomarie Arturet had been named director of sales and marketing at the Copamarina Beach Resort in Guanica, Puerto Rico.

“We’re confident that Alfredo, Efrain, and Jomarie’s leadership experience and many years in the Caribbean hospitality industry will bring continued success to El Convento, Condado Vanderbilt, and Copamarina, respectively,” said Jose Suarez, president of International Hospitality Enterprises, in a statement.

The Condado Vanderbilt is slated to debut in December of this year.
