The soon-to-open Malliouhana, An Auberge Resort in Anguilla has named its director of sales and marketing, the property announced.

The resort has appointed Tania Rydon in the role ahead of its planned Nov. 1 opening date.

“We are thrilled to have an industry veteran such as Tania Rydon join the Malliouhana team,” said John Vasatka, the property’s general manager. “She is a results-oriented individual who produces measurable success and exhibits outstanding leadership skills.  Years of experience at luxury properties in the Caribbean and around the world have given her an unparalleled aptitude for marketing and sales at Malliouhana. We look forward to a successful reopening and beyond with Tania on board.”

Rydon’s experience has included co-general manager at the Amanyara in Turks and Caicos and Amanwella in Sri Lanka, along with posts at a number of Caribbean resorts including Little Dix Bay, the Four Seasons in Nevis and Caneel Bay.

In the 1990s, she worked for Anguilla for three years as a guest services coordinator at Cap Juluca.

The Malliounana is the latest property to join the Auberge portfolio.

It had been an independent resort until it closed in 2011 and was purchased by Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners.
