By: - June 15th, 2014

WE OFTEN feature cocktail recipes from all around the region here in Rum Journal, but for this near-summer Sunday we thought we’d do one better.

So the latest Rum Journal brings you a pair of cocktails from the twin-island federation of St Kitts and Nevis, both from the Bohemia Bar and Grille at the St Kitts Marriott.

Here are the recipes:

Caribbean Sunset:

Ingredients:
1 oz of Bacardi Lemon Rum
1oz of Apple Pucker Vodka
2 oz of Smirnoff Vodka
1 oz of Passion fruit juice
2 oz of Guava juice
2 oz of Pineapple juice

Method: Combine Bacardi Limon Rum, Apple Pucker Vodka, and Smirnoff Vodka with fresh passionfruit, guava and pineapple juice over ice.  Shake well, and strain into your favorite glass.  Garnish with pineapple.

Atlantic Breeze:

1,5 oz of  Bacardi 151
1,5 oz of light rum
2 oz of orange juice
2 oz of Pineapple juice
a splash of passion fruit juice
a splash of mango juice orange juice
1 oz of grenadine

Method: The brightly colored cocktail is more like a hurricane wind with Bacardi 151 and light rum, a splash of passion fruit juice, a splash of mango juice, orange juice, pineapple juice, and grenadine. Shake well and strain.

Cheers!
