The Miami Heat have found a home in Little Haiti.

Despite taking a tough 111-92 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, the Miami Heat took time out of their schedule to open a new NBA center in the heart of Little Haiti.

Heat players debuted the new NBA Cares Learn & Play Center at the famous Little Haiti Cultural Complex on Wednesday.

The facility, which was refurbished in partnership with State Farm and Samsung, will “provide youth with a safe place to play and resources to help them explore their academic interests,” the Heat said in a statement.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and Miami Heat Owner Micky Arison and former Heat star Alonzo Mourning were among those on hand for the inauguration of the facility, joined by Heat players including Chris Andersen.

The center, the 14th the Heat have created in the South Florida area, includes televisions, computers, printers and tablets, along with a reading space with new books and board games.

Naturally, it’s been outfitted with Heat-themed decorations.
