A delegation from Disney Cruise Line recently held talks with officials from the British Virgin Islands.

The June 3 talks included Works Minister Mark Vanterpool, Acting Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Communications and Works Anthony McMaster, Chairman of the BVI Ports Authority Board J Edward de Castro and BVI Ports Authority Managing Director Claude Skelton Cline, among others.

In a statement, the government said the aim of the talks were to “discuss quality guest service culture and process training and marketing and promotional services for the Territory.”

The BVI recently signed a deal with both Norwegian Cruise Line and Disney Cruise Line that would mean 425,000 cruise passengers arriving in the BVI by the middle of 2015.

That would include 75,000 annual guaranteed passengers from Disney.

Last month, the British Overseas Territory officially broke ground on a major expansion of its cruise pier, aiming to be ready to receive them.
