American Airlines is expanding its service to St Kitts with new summer flights.

The service will be operated from New York’s John F Kennedy Airport on Fridays beginning June 13. It will last through Friday, Sep. 5.

The flights supplement existing Wednesday and Saturday nonstop flights.

“The addition of a third weekly non-stop New York to St Kitts flight from June to August is an indicator of the ongoing positive developments in St Kitts tourism,” said St Kitts and Nevis Tourism and International Transport Minister Ricky Skerrritt.

In a statement, the country’s tourist board said it would provide “more options for longer or shorter stays on the island.”

The Friday flights will depart JFK at 5:00 PM and land at St Kitts’ Robert L Bradshaw airport at 9:30 PM.

The return flights will depart St Kitts at 10:30 AM on Saturdays.
