Punta Cana’s Melia Caribe Tropical Names New Director of Sales and Marketing

The Melia Caribe Tropical resort in the Dominican Republic’s Punta Cana region has named Florian Connert its new director of sales and marketing.

In the new role, Florian will oversee all sales and marketing efforts for the property.

“We are thrilled to have Florian join the Meliá Caribe Tropical team,” said Manfred Schoebel, general manager of Meliá Caribe Tropical, in a release. “We are looking forward to building on the success of the resort and believe that Florian’s experience will help Meliá Caribe Tropical become even more accomplished in the years to come.”

Connert has worked for 15 years in the Caribbean travel industry, across several companies in the region, including the BlueBay Group in Cancun and AM Resorts, also in Punta Cana.

The hotel recently introduced its new “elevated guestroom” experience, called “The Level.”
