Jamaica’s Tessanne Chin Wins Fifth Season of NBC’s “The Voice”

Jamaica’s Tessanne Chin has won the fifth season of NBC’s “The Voice.”

Chin emerged bested two other finalists to win the prime-time show, a singing competition led by music stars including Cristina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Ceelo Green.

She bested finalists Will Champlin and Jacquie Lee to take the crown.

Chin, a reggae fusion singer from Kingston, has previously worked with Jimmy Cliff and opened for Patti Labelle, among other stars.

Chin hit the ground running at the beginning of the season, wowing the judges and earning a spot with Adam Levine’s “team” shortly after she began her debut performance.

She finished off the season by performing with Levine, who is the frontman for Maroon 5.

The Voice’s sixth season begins in February.
