You might call it a lobster pub crawl.

The island of Anegada in the British Virgin Islands will be hosting its first-ever Anegada Lobster Festival on Saturday and Sunday.

The festival will feature eight restaurants participating, including Cow Wreck Beach Bar, Big Bamboo, Anegada Beach Club, Flash of Beauty, Anegada Reef Hotel, Potter’s By the Sea, Lobster Trap and Whistling Pine, each of which will be serving a different array of lobster samples and plates.

“The unique aspect of Anegada Lobster Festival is the journey to visit each participating restaurant along the island,” said Rhodni Skelton, film commissioner and events manager at the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board. “Unlike most festivals that bottleneck one location, this event encourages attendees to travel from one restaurant to the next while having the opportunity to experience stunning beaches, the islnad’s cultural attractions, the mom-and-pop boutiques and the elements which make Anegada one of the most dynamic locations in the British Virgin Islands.”

Skelton said the BVI was expecting participants from the BVI, the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and abroad.

“As we continue to broaden our culinary tourism product, we welcome all to visit the stunning shores of Anegada for this exciting two-day festival,” Skelton said.
