The Coconut Bay Beach Resort in St Lucia has reopened following a month-long “refreshment.”

The $2.5 million project involved new furnishings, more premium suites and rooms, organic greenhouses and other new amenities.

“We continue to make improvements we know our guests will recognize and appreciate, this year completing an amazing upgrade in just four weeks,” said Mark Adams, president of Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa, in a statement. “We doubled the number of Junior Suites and Premium Oceanview rooms to meet demand, particularly for our weddings and honeymooners, and guests will find our range of dining options rival any all-inclusive resort. Some of the improvements like the new kids bar were suggested by our repeat guests, others, like new equipment, may not be obvious but contribute to a fresh new vibe throughout the property and we’re looking forward to their comments.”

The project means the resort now has 27 junior suites, following a conversion of 13 fourth-floor rooms in its “Harmony” adults-only wing.
A total of 64 rooms in the family-friendly wing were also converted, and all of the resort’s 218 room’s bathrooms also got upgrades.

The property also said it would be offering organic vegetables and herbs grown on property in its restaurants, and that it had added LED lighting in the resort’s pools.
