The Rosewood Jumby Bay resort in Antigua has named Sylvain Hervochon its new executive chef.

Hervochon will lead the culinary team at the resort, which includes the restaurants the Estate House, The Verandah, The Pool Grille and the Beach Bar.

Hervochon was most recently the executive chef at the Le NossyBe Restaurant in La Baule France, where he managed the eatery and a team of 12 chefs for seven years.

He had previously served for three years as director and owner of Le Market restaurant in Le Pouliguen, France.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sylvain to Jumby Bay as our new executive chef,” said Andrew Hedley, managing director of Rosewood Jumby Bay and regional vice president of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. “His incredible passion for cooking and outstanding international experience in the culinary world makes him well-suited to carry on the exceptional culinary efforts at Jumby Bay. We look forward to watching him lead the team to a new level of excellence.”

The resort said Hervochon’s food evoked “enchanting flavours of French cuisine.”

The new menu at the resort will offer a “wide array of international cuisine,” the property said.
