Rum Journal: A Rum and Reggae Cocktail From Negril, Jamaica

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - September 8, 2013

Above: the Beaches Negril Resort & Spa

Few things go together quite as well as rum and reggae.

That’s particularly true in Jamaica, the home of the world-famous Appleton Rum and the Beaches Negril Resort.

It’s the latter that has chosen to honour the pairing with a cocktail named after the greatest reggae musician of them all: Bob Marley.

The Negril property has partnered with Appleton to concoct a special recipe celebrating the Jamaican legend, and it’s been kind enough to share it with us.

So here’s the recipe for the “Bob Marley” cocktail:

Our Pick: “Bob Marley” Recipe from the Beaches Negril Resort & Spa
Ingredients:
½ oz. Grenadine
½ oz. Crème de Banana
½ oz. Crème de Menthe
½ oz. Appleton Estate® V/X Jamaican rum
1 splash of Appleton Estate®  151 proof Jamaica rum

(The choice of song is optional, of course)

Cheers!
