Foreign Ministers of CARICOM, Cuba to Meet in Grenada

Foreign Ministers from the Caribbean Community and Cuba will meet in Grenada on Friday.

The officials will be attending the Fourth Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Caribbean Community and the Republic of Cuba.

The one-day meeting will take place on Calivigny Island, with the agenda set to cover issues including bilateral ties between Cuba and CARICOM and areas such as trade, health, culture, education and natural disasters.

Also slated for discussion will be the threat of non-communicable diseases, climate change and the CELAC regional organization.

Previous meetings of the grouping have been held in Havana and St Vincent and the Grenadines.

The last such occasion was in Havana in 2010.
