NBA superstar Dwyane Wade recently paid a visit to the Turks and Caicos Islands with a group of family and friends.

Wade, who recently helped the Miami Heat to their second straight NBA championship (and the third for the all-star guard), stayed at the Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa.

Wade stayed in a villa suite at the property’s Key West Luxury Village, which opened in May following a renovation.

Parent company Sandals International converted the former Veranda Turks and Caicos resort into the Key West Luxury Village after acquiring the property at the end of 2012.

The Miami Heat are no strangers to the region: teammate and fellow NBA champion LeBron James has often visited the nearby Bahamas for rest and relaxation.
