Kirani James’ trip to London this week was much like his previous one: it ended with a victory.

James returned to the stadium where he made history in the summer of 2012, winning the 400M with a time of 44.65 seconds at the London Anniversary Games Diamond League meet.

James was followed by the United States’ Tony McQuay and Belgium’s Jonathan Borlee.

Usain Bolt also returned to the scene of his history-making turn in London last summer, anchoring the “Racers Track Club” men to take home first place in the 4x100M relay. The Jamaicans finished in 37.75 seconds, a meet record.

Jamaica’s Warren Weir also claimed victory, finishing the 200M in 19.89 seconds to best countryman Jason Young and the United States’ Wallace Spearmon.

Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce finished fourth in the women’s 100M, with a time of 10.94 seconds, just behind Trinidad’s Kelly-Ann Baptiste.

The Bahamas’ Antonique Strachan finished third in the women’s 100M, which was won by the United States’ Allyson Felix.
