Caribbean Villa With a View: Virgin Gorda’s Katitche Point Greathouse

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - July 21, 2013

THE CARIBBEAN’S hotel rooms are outstanding — but so, too, are its villas. Villas offer a different kind of experience — more space, more seclusion.

And the first edition of our new Caribbean Villa With a View feature travels to the island of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands — home to the spectacular Katitche Point Greathouse.

Perched on the side of a cliff between Virgin Gorda’s Mahoe and Pond Bays, has three master bedrooms and four individual suites, a shimmering infinity pool and a movie-theater-sized “gallery” living room.

And while you can cook for yourself (even using herbs and fruits grown in the villa’s garden), there is the option of having your own private gourmet chef.

The most interesting feature of the property is almost certainly its “Crow’s Nest,” an open-air loft on the third level of the property that offers some pretty breathtaking sightseeing (hammock included).

Enjoy the view.
