Hip-hop star Flo Rida will be giving his first-ever performance in Jamaica next month when he headlines the Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay, joined by Grammy winner Miguel.

Flo Rida, who was nominated for six Billboard Awards in 2013, is one of a number of stars signed on to the festival, including Damian Marley, Romain Virgo.

“Flo Rida is a great complement to this year’s show, he has done very well over the past few years with a lot on internationally recognised hits,” said Johnny Gourzong, executive director of Summerfest Productions. “We are really glad to have him on the show, he will be bringing the full experience to the festival, full band, dancers and everything, so it’s a big full show on International Night 1.”

The festival begins on July 21, concluding on July 27.

“Over the last few years, I’ve been everywhere — Africa, Japan, Greece, South America, Russia, the Middle East, Australia, India, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia; but never to Jamaica,” Flo Rida said. “I am excited.”
