Haiti’s Tourism Ministry has unveiled its first tourism marketing commercial.

The video, mostly in Creole with English subtitles, stars a group of Haitians describing the country’s history, culture, cuisine and beaches.

“You’ve never been to Haiti?” a man asks. “Come and discover my country.”

Haiti’s Tourism Ministry has been seeking to develop tourism in a country long off the radar of international travelers and with a still largely undeveloped tourism infrastructure.

“Come to Haiti,” an English-speaking narrator says to conclude the video. “Discover the soul of the Caribbean.”

The Ministry has not announced where the ad is intended to air.
