Earthquake Near St Vincent Causes Shaking in St Lucia

A 4.2-magnitude earthquake off the coast of St Vincent and the Grenadines caused shaking in St Lucia, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake occurred about 57 kilometres southeast of Biabou, and about 63 kilometres east-southeast of Kingstown.

It struck at 10:50 PM on Thursday evening at a depth of just 18.6 kilometres, according to the USGS.

There were no reports of damage or injuries from the quake, which caused what was described as weak-to-light shaking.
