Ritz-Carlton will be ceasing management at its Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort, Rose Hall in Jamaica’s Montego Bay, the company announced this week.

The 427-room property will no longer be a Ritz-Carlton effective June 17, following 13 years in operation.

“We have been honoured to manage the Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort in Rose Hall, Jamaica for almost 13 years,” said Tony Mira, general manager at the property, in a release. “The numerous awards and recognition the resort has garnered over the years is a tribute to the genuine warmth, professionalism and dedication of our exceptional ladies and gentlemen.”

The hotel first opened in 2000, eventually earning an AAA Five Diamond award. It also received Green Globe environmental certification.

Spanish firm Playa Hotels and Resorts is in talks to purchase the property, although the deal is not yet complete.
